What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that there is one God, creator of all life and all that is seen and known of the material universe.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Passover,  in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved from the penalty of sin he has earned, which is death (Romans 6:23), and that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in preaching the Gospel as Jesus Christ instructed us in Matthew 28:19-20 – and to go forth into all the world to make disciples.  We believe that upon repentance we practice the holy ordinance of water baptism, which signifies the believer’s death and burial of their old sinful self, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus.

We believe in the observance of the annual biblical Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23); the seventh day Sabbath of rest, as a memorial to creation and the rest we have in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life empowered by Christ to overcome ourselves, this world and Satan, the Devil. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those that are saved into the resurrection of life and those that are unsaved into the resurrection of judgment.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and that our reward of eternal life is with Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth in glory and power.
